What is Cardio Tennis?

Cardio Tennis is a high energy fitness activity that combines the best features of the sport of tennis with cardiovascular exercise, delivering the ultimate, full body, calorie burning aerobic workout. It is a very social and fun class for players of all ability levels taught by a tennis teaching professional. If you’ve never played tennis before it is a great way to be introduced to the sport and if you are an experienced high level tennis player it is the best way to train for tennis. Regardless of ability or fitness level, the tennis professional is trained to provide the ultimate workout for each person.

Benefits of Cardio Tennis?

  • It is a fun social group activity where players of all ability levels enjoy tennis together
  • In a class of 6-8 people, most women burn 300 to 500 calories per hour and men burn between 500 to 1000
  • Provides an interval training scenario which is the most efective way to achieve heart health and fitness
  • While you are “playing” tennis, the primary focus is on getting a great workout
  • Fights the obesity crisis and offers a better fitness option for those not motivated to go to a gym to workout
  • You naturally improve your game because you’re always moving, hitting tonnes of balls and continuously being challenged.

Cardio Registration

Upon entering your contact details below you will be able to view and sign up for the current available classes.

Our cardio session times do change from time to time so please register below to view the available times and book into a class.

Cardio classes can currently be booked on a casual basis. The cost for a casual class is $20.

Silver members receive 2 cardio sessions for free per month and Gold members receive 5 per month. If you would like to book into a class as a member please send us an email at powlettreservetennis@bigpond.com, text us on 0451 935 765 or call us on 9417 6511 and let us know what class you’d like to book into.

Cancellations

Minimum 6 hours cancellation notice for Cardio tennis. (Please try to give as much notice as you can so your place can be used by another player.)

RAIN

In the event of rain, you are required to call the centre, we will advise if the courts are playable. Failure to do so will result in being charged for the class.

For all pre-paid bookings that are affected by unplayable weather or have been cancelled in the required space of time the Centre will grant a Centre Credit.
